ARK Select Flow Valve makes drinking through a straw easier for beginners. The fluid flows up through the straw but doesn't empty.
Simply push the tapered end of the valve into the bottom of a straw. The valve is specially designed to control the direction of fluid. Liquid can flow up but does not flow back down. Because fluid stays at the top of the straw, each subsequent sip requires less effort. It also reduces the air ingested, in turn reducing coughing and choking while drinking.
The Ark select flow valve is recommended for those who have difficulty maintaining suction or take too much fluid in at a time. You can easily adjust the flow (increasing) by trimming the tapered end with scissors to widen the opening.
This valve is recommended for thin liquids such as water, milk, juice (without pulp)
Flushing the valve immediately after use will prolong longevity. That said, they will not last forever as they cannot be taken apart for extensive cleaning.
ARK Select Flow Valve for straws reduces the effort required to drink, is great for those with a weak suck, and helps develop the skill of sucking/drinking through a straw.
Use under supervision, as contains small parts and may pose a choking hazard.
