The Sensory Sensations Pea Pod is an inflatable canoe style chair. It provides full body calming deep pressure touch. The gentle squeeze helps relax and self soothe in a comforting sensory space.
Be in control of how much squeeze the pea pod provides by inflating the canoe as much or as little as you desire. The more you inflate it, the more solid the seat will be, allowing you to adjust the amount of deep pressure received.
The Pea Pod provides deep touch pressure (DTP) to multiple areas of the body, allowing children to feel secure, grounded and in control. We find this is particularly helpful for those with Autism and other sensory processing disorders.
The floor can be inflated for more wobble and movement. If the floor is not inflated or only partially inflated, the Pea Pod sits firmly on level ground. The outside surface of the Hug is covered in a soft, flocked vinyl making it super comfy and snuggly.
It is recommended for children aged 4 to 12yrs and tested to approximately 45kg. However, we have had small adults sit comfortably in it.
Please note: given the warranty is 3 months from date of purchase, we strongly recommend you inflate and test the pea pod immediately after purchase.
