TheĀ Viga Wooden Rekenrek Abacus has two rows of 10 beads (5 read and 5 white). This supports students to see, master and automate early numeracy skills, using 5 and 10 as the base point.Ā
Students soon discover number relationships and develop a variety of addition and subtraction strategies, including doubles plus one or minus one, making tens, compensation.
