The Quercetti Filo Laces set offers a unique, creative and fun fine motor activity. It does involve laces, but not so much threading as a push and pull action using a pen-like tool.
The Filo laces is a fabulous resource to add to the fine motor kit for therapists, families and schools especially if you are after something a little different. Kids will love getting creative, making their own picture creations or copying the picture sheets provided. You can make the string loose or tight for differing effects.
Not only is the Filo laces great for fine motor skills, it's a fantastic tool to improve hand eye coordination, motor planning, visual spatial, and hand strengthening.
To use the Quercetti Filo Laces, firstly push the thread through the pen tool (until there is a little sticking out the pointy end, say 1/2 cm). Then press the string using the pen tool into the holes on the board. Poke through the hole and pull back (the string will stay in). Lastly, move to another hole on the board and repeat.
