The weight is designed to provide compression to support calming, emotional regulation, focus and attention. Each Lap Pad includes a loop added to the corner, giving the option of connecting a fidget or chew.

The Starfish Weighted Lap Pad sits neatly across the lap and has been thoughtfully designed for classrooms, clinics and home use.
Its size and weight are ideal for providing steady, calming input while still allowing freedom of movement — perfect for desk work, floor time, or relaxing on a lounge or bean bag.
Available in two calming colours — Ocean and Sand,each lap pad features soft, high-quality fabric with evenly distributed weight for balanced support.A small corner loop offers the option to attach a fidget or chew tool for additional sensory support.
Machine washable on a gentle cycle, the lap pad maintains its soft, plush feel with a little fabric softener. Allow at least 24 hours to dry thoroughly.

Please note: Weighted items are a therapeutic tool, and we always recommend using them in consultation with your therapist. They can play a valuable role as part of your sensory diet. Keep in mind, that as a general rule of thumb, it is recommended that weighted items be no more than 10% of body weight and used in blocks of time, usually up to 20 minute intervals (unless under advice from a suitably qualified professional).

Great for my 5 year old who needs to work on his fine motor skills and being creative. The tap tap set is also loved by my eldest, 13 years old who loves a therapeutic activity before bed. He loves to tap tap away.
Since putting this on my son’s bed it has made a huge difference. We have also found if he is getting overwhelmed he is now retreating to his bed. He says “it feels like a big hug”. We opted for the double as we have a very thick (60cm) king single mattress.
This swing is the absolute bees knees of sensory seeking/ risky play/ calm down activity. It is used multiple times a day by both my kiddos, and is incredibly durable. I cannot recommend it enough!!
This is absolutely perfect for my five year old. It is considerably easier and faster to brush his teeth, and it enables him to brush his own teeth more often, and with better results. This fosters his independence, while aiding his fine motor deficit. I would highly recommend it.
